NORTHWEST YOUTH RODEO ASSOCIATION

Due to the condition in which the Sisters Rodeo Grounds were left following our rodeo, we are organizing a cleanup work party in partnership with the Sisters Rodeo Association.

The work party will be held on Saturday, August 8, beginning at 9:00 am at the Sisters Rodeo Grounds. They will provide donuts and coffee in the morning, beverages throughout the day, and a catered lunch for all volunteers.

We cannot stress enough how important it is to have a strong turnout. This is an opportunity to demonstrate our appreciation to the Sisters Rodeo Association for generously allowing us to use their facilities and to help maintain a positive, long-standing relationship with them. By working together, we can help preserve these beautiful rodeo grounds for future events.

Associations like Sisters Rodeo generously donate the use of their facilities so organizations like ours have places to compete. We all share the responsibility of caring for these grounds and leaving them in excellent condition. We hope you'll join us on August 8 to help show our appreciation and commitment to being good stewards of the facilities we are fortunate to use.

The Northwest Youth Rodeo Association “NWYRA” was founded in 1974 and has grown to be the largest youth rodeo association in the Pacific Northwest. We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that operates completely from sponsorships, donations and fundraising.

NWYRA is a family-oriented, all-volunteer association that provides the opportunity for young cowboys and cowgirls to compete in the great American Sport of Rodeo.

We are the future of rodeo, serving as a training ground, providing a solid foundation for future rodeo champions. We are thankful for the support from the Columbia River Circuit PRCA Rodeos; St. Paul Rodeo, Sisters Rodeo and the Molalla Buckeroo, in addition to the NPRA Rodeos; Philomath Frolic & Rodeo and the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians (Canyonville)

From beginners to the seasoned competitor, NWYRA is the place to get started or stay-in-practice during the summer. All kids who would like to rodeo are welcome at NWYRA.

RODEO SEASON

The NWYRA season runs during the summer months, June through August.

There are five (5) weekend rodeos for kids to compete in.

The first four (4) weekend rodeos are double headers.

The last weekend rodeo of the summer is the "Finals" rodeo and is a single (1) header.

The "Finals" rodeo is a fun and exciting weekend as each contestant who wins their event earns a customized "Finals" buckle and gets to take a victory lap around the arena.
